11/6/2006 So I say, your deliverance is comingWow. What a busy month. I can't believe how insane I am. I've got oodles of homework to attend to, a novel to write (nanowrimo.org), sleep to get, and a social life to keep up. Okay, so maybe I don't have much of a social life, but small is better than nonexistent, right? We started reading The Hobbit in English class, which brings back some interesting memories as well as reminding me how much I love the book. Our XC team went to State! The girls scored eleventh out of sixteen, which is good for our school's level. Only one guy made it. Frown.
I purchased a used laptop computer, which I am currently using. It's mega-omega-cool. My very own Windows OS! This is a major milestone for me. Now other people will have a chance to employ the services of a computer without heading down to the library.
One-acts have started! My character's name is Foghorn Redburn. I'm not sure what the significance of that is, but I'm sure there's something. I'm a grumpy, persnickety stage coach driver who has a temper to be proud of and a tattered hat that's older than my current set of teeth. Whatever that means.
CPC is taking us to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. I really, really, really, etc. want to go. It sounds really cool. Also, when am I going to get this chance ever again? The scrolls can only be displayed for a short time before they're put away for a few years in a dark, cold room. I have to personify them and cheer them up. They might be afraid of the dark.
What does cornobble mean, anyway?
